Galp eases Sao Tome interest and analyses Namibia drilling

Galp has withdrawn from one block off Sao Tome & Principe (STP) neighbouring acreage where it is due to drill around year end and is analysing potential drilling targets off Namibia. The Portuguese firm is due to drill the Jaca well in Block 6 in the exclusive economic zone of STP around year end, although this must now be uncertain. In the meantime, it has handed back its interest in Kosmos Energy's neighbouring Block 5 which abuts the deepwaters of Equatorial Guinea.
