Associated Variables Farmers' Responses toward Agricultural Extension Methods in Elhawata Village, Ity Elbaroud District,Beheira Governorate

The current research is mainly aiming to study the farmers' responses toward agricultural extension methods in Elhawata village, Ity Elbaroud District, Beheira Governorate, This will be achieved through the following objectives:1. Studying some characteristics of the researched fanners.2. Identifying fanners' responses toward agricultural extension methods.3. Studying the relationship between characteristics of the researched farmers and their responses towardagricultural extension methods.4. Identifying the most effective variables in farmers' responses toward agricultural extension methods.Data were collected through filling a questionnaire through personal interview for a random sample of 100 farmers, Researcher used a number of statistical methods including percentages, means, frequencies, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, simple conelation and multiple regression analysis. The most important results were summarized as follows:1. The results showed that (30%) of the researched farmers have low responses toward agricultural extension methods, (38%) of the researched farmers have medium responses toward agricultural extension methods, and (32%) of them have high responses towardagricultural extension methods.2. The results showed that, agricultural extension agent visits, agricultural extension campaigns and agricultural extension meetings in respectively were ranked in the first orders in the list of agricultural extension methods.3. The results showed that, it was positive significant relationship between the researched farmers' responses toward agricultural extension methods and all independent variables except the following variables (full time farm work, living satisfaction).4. The results showed that, the most effective variables in farmers' responses toward agricultural extension methods respectively were transitional openness, family number, achievement motivation and agricultural land tenure.
