Nomogram to Predict Cause-Specific Mortality in Patients With Surgically Resected Stage I Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer: A Competing Risk Analysis

It is important to consider the competing risks when evaluating prognosis. We evaluated the cumulative incidence function of cause-specific death in 20,850 patients with surgically resected stage I non-small-cell lung cancer. We also built the first competing risk nomogram to predict prognosis. Our nomograms show a relatively good performance and can be a convenient individualized predictive tool for prognosis.
