摘要

Corn by-products, such as corn gluten meal, corn gluten feed and corn germ cake, are regarded as good protein/fibre sources to ruminant animals. However, a critical concern is whether the quality of by-products from different batches is consistent (Nuez-Ortin and Yu, 2009). Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate 1) the National Research Council (NRC) model predicted metabolic parameters of proteins; 2) the bio-molecular spectral profile associated with nutrient supplies and 3) the relationship between modelled nutrient parameters and spectral profiles in the three different batches of corn by-products from the same processing plant.
