摘要

Feeding dairy cows a short compared to a long chop length grass silage will increase milk yield and tend toreduce milk fat content, but there is no effect on reticulo-rumen pH. Feeding dairy cows mixtures of maize and grasssilages will increase intake, milk production and milk protein content, and result in a lower rumen pH compared to grasssilage as the only forage.
