> Artificial engineered thin films consisting of (LaSr)(MnV)O 3 matrix and columnar nanocomposites oxides are deposited on single‐crystal LaAlO 3 (111) substrates by using La 2/3 Sr 1/3 MnO 3 and V 2 O 3 targets. The epitaxial grown (LaSr)(MnV)O 3 thin‐film matrix is embedded with self‐assembled MnO and V 2 O 3 columns with a few nanometers in size. The atomic structure, chemistry, and electronic properties of columnar nanocomposite are determined and the bonding between the matrix and nanopillars is identified by using atomically resolved scanning transmission electron microscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy.
