Endoscopic resection for superficial hypopharyngeal/laryngeal cancer and clinical pathway options

A 57-year-old male suffered from a metachronous squamous cell carcinoma of the larynx and refused surgical intervention. Instead, the patient opted for endoscopic mucosal resection with a cap-fitted endoscope, a delicate procedure of endoscopic mucosal resection using a cap-fitted endoscope, to effectively treat his small sup-raglottic cancer. A 3-year follow up demonstrated no signs of tumor recurrence.
