Numerical Evaluation of Broadband Penetration in the South East Coast of Sabah, Malaysia

This study aims to construct a mathematical model of the relationship between factors affecting demand for broadband and level of satisfaction. One hundred and eighty customers of broadband in the South East Coast of Sabah participated in this study. A questionnaire was developed toidentify factors that affect demand for broadband and level of satisfaction among them. We attempted the model assessment specific to Multiple Linear Regression Analysis subject to variable selection using Stepwise regression. Statistical assessments were conducted to justify the error calculatedto determine the goodness-of-fit model. Finally, the model obtained suggests not all the factors affecting demand of broadband should be included in the model in an attempt to predict level of customer’s satisfaction.
