Cell Interaction Based QCA Multiplexer for Complex Circuit Design

摘要

Target of this work is to design QCA (quantum-dot cellular automata) multiplexer using cell-interaction QCA exclusive-OR gate. In fact, multiplexer is important component for signal transmission circuit. This paper presents QCA 4:1 and 8:1 multiplexers based on the proposed 2:1 multiplexer.By using QCA exclusive-OR gate, compact and low complexity design of 2:1 multiplexer can be constructed. Therefore, the proposed design has less cell count and less area in accordance to obtained comparison with other existing designs. Moreover, simulation result proves that the proposed designis sustainable and it can be used to realize in complex circuit designs, like arithmetic and logic unit designs for QCA microprocessors.
