Factor That Influence Intrauterine Device (IUD) Use in Limo Primary Health Care, Depok, West Java on January–February 2017

IUD (Intra Uterine Device) is a mechanic contraception. IUD was more effective than other contraception methods, such as pill, depot injection, and condom. However, the use of this contraception was still very low because peoples prefer contraception which is easy to get a used. Theaim of this study is knowing factors which a related with the used of IUD as contraception non hormone in Limo Primary Health Care, Depok, West Java. This study used analysis descriptive research study with cross sectional approaches. One hundred and ten with active family planning were selectedfrom all family planning acceptors in Limo Primary Health Care at Depok on January–February 2017 trough purposive sampling. Questionnaire was used to collect information or data from the subjects. Five hypotheses were formulated and chi-square statistics was employed for the purposeof data analysis at 0.05 alpha level of significance (95% confidence). The major findings revealed that, The most respondents used IUD were women aged ≤35 years old, most respondents using IUD were respondents with advanced education, most respondents using IUD were respondents who receivedgood support from husband, most respondents using IUD were respondents who received good support from health personnel, most respondents using IUD were respondents with good knowledge, there was a statistically association between age and IUD use (p value = 0.000), there was a statisticallysignificant association between education level and IUD use (p value = 0.000), there was a statistically significant association between personnel health support and IUD use (p value = 0.000), there was a statistically significant association between husband support and IUD use (p value =0.000), and there was a statistically significant association between knowledge level and IUD use (p value = 0.000). The study conclude that there was a statistically significant association between IUD use with age, education level, personnel health support, husband support and knowledgelevel.
