An Acoustic Analysis According to the Structural Change of Sound Equipment

These Sound equipments exist in many different forms around us and researches to deliver effective aural information according to the characteristics of place of usage are being conducted. However, there are not many studies on acoustic change according to the material or structuralchange that this study produced wood and plastic sound equipments in different sizes that are being used most widely as material of the sound system and scientifically measured sound characteristics that change depending on material and structural change in space with soundproof installations.For measurement method, the same sound source was delivered the customized sound equipment using speaker module, collected the sound through microphone, and analyzed with acoustic measurement software called “Gold wave.” According to the research result, amplitude was longer forplastic sound equipment than the wood sound system and the time of reaching maximum value of sound pressure from the occurrence of sound was shorter when the size of wood sound equipment was smaller and plastic sound equipment was the opposite. The time of moderately declined sound pressurefrom maximum value reaching parallel state was longer for plastic sound equipment and the time was shorter when the size was longer. The time of sound getting extinct was longer for plastic than wood, was shorter when the length was shorter, and reverberation time of sound was longer for woodsound equipment than plastic sound equipments. The results of this study are expected to be used in organizing sound space according to the characteristics of material and structure.
