Testing Boeing qualification for active thermography

A quick and accurate inspection method for composite components has been developed by FACC of Ried, Austria, and the Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences and the Higher Technical College (HTL) in Andorf. Called active thermography, FACC says that the inspection system is more accurate, faster and reduces inspection times by up to 50% compared with conventional processes. Further, the system is significantly less expensive to buy, and mobile and therefore employable in FACC's various production facilities.
