Recycling--US partners to develop automated methods for recycling prepreg

The Composite Recycling Technology Center (CRTC) in Port Angeles, Washington, USA, is to work with the Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation (IACMI) to develop automated methods for the recycling of carbon fibre prepreg scrap. The one-year contract with IACMI will provide over US$400 000 for the CRTC's work to design and build processing equipment specifically to prepare uncured aerospace carbon fibre scrap for high -volume manufacturing applications.
