Aerospace--Porcher provides support for thermoplastic fuselage project

Technical textiles and thermoplastics specialist Porcher Industries has been working with STELIA Aerospace on its recent Arches Box TP research project. STELIA Aerospace of Salaunes, France, has manufactured a full-scale demonstrator fuselage from reinforced thermoplastics that will allow the use of these materials to be evaluated for use in the next generation of single-aisle aircraft. The demonstrator features a thin skin, lightning protection, stringers and frames.
