摘要

In this paper the single-stage pulse-tube refrigerator (PTR) with a warm displacer is theoretically treated in the harmonic approximation. Analytical relations for the cooling power, applied power, and the coefficient of performance (COP) of a highly idealized system are derived that describe the essence of the operation and are strong guidelines for the system design. It is shown that this kind of PTR can have a high COP especially near ambient temperature and that, under certain conditions, the system also can work as a heat engine.
