Transversal waves in a reciprocating compressor

The interaction of internal waves and the dynamics of passive plate valves influence the performance of fast running reciprocating compressors considerably. Models of different complexity (one-, two-, three-dimensional) will be evaluated and their predictions will be compared with measured data.
