New methodology and apparatus for accelerated long- life testing of linear-drive cryocoolers

In this paper we are presenting a new approachwhich was developed for the accelerated tests of cryocoolers witha lifetime of 5-20 yr. In accordance with this approach thecryocooler is separated into critical units, each of which is testedunder its own unique program. After completion of tests andassembly the cryocooler parameters are compared to theparameters of the system prior to the beginning of accelerated test.2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
