Roxo Energy Deals Midland Basin Position To Murchison Oil And Gas

Roxo Energy LLC said Nov. 6 it sold its position in the Permian Basin to Murchison Oil and Gas LLC in a deal that comes only 20 months after Roxo’s entry into the play. Roxo is a Fort Worth, Texas-based oil and gas company founded in December 2015 by three former Texas Christian University football players: Todd Fitzgerald, as CEO; James Vess, as chief geologist; and J.W. Wilson as president. The company is backed by private-equity firm Vortus Investments LLC.
