Heinz Crotzke's impact on the Biodynamic Association and the North American biodynamic movement can hardly be overstated. He served in a variety of roles for many decades, from the mid-1950s to the current day, where he shares his accumulated wisdom in this article. Among other things, he initiated a Bio-Dynamic Seed Growing Project in 1962; presented at national biodynamic conferences from the 1950s through the 1990s; founded Biodynamic Literature, which published several books, including translations from German; became editor of the Biodynamics journal in 1972, for which he wrote more than seventy articles from the 1950s to the present; was named as Executive Director of the BDA in 1977; and served as a BDA board member from 1957-1990.
