France’s Nexans is to provide more than 200 kilometres of fibre optic subsea cables to AlcatelSubmarine Networks (ASN), a division of Nokia.The project is part of the digitization process of the Johan Castberg oil field off the coast ofNorway, being developed by Equinor (formerly Statoil). ASN is the prime contractorresponsible for delivering the Permanent Reservoir Monitoring (PRM) systems to the field.
