Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially opened a new processing mill at Kandrori in HimachalPradesh, northern India, for government-owned SAIL.The plant, which cost around INR700 M ($10.6 M, ?9.0 M) to build, will produce earthquake-resistant andother grades of thermo-mechanically treated (TMT) bars. Design capacity is 100,000 t/y, with feedstockbillets coming from SAIL's own mills.
