Prices have continued to climb, albeit more slowly

Although US Dollar-denominated prices for 5.5.3 grade silicon metal were significantly higher on average inall major markets in February than they were the month before, the m/m gains partly reflect the carry-overeffect of the rise in prices that occurred during January. The pending announcement of the final outcome ofthe US antidumping and subsidy investigations could have a significant impact on the near-term path ofsilicon metal prices, not only in the USA, but also in other markets; the EU in particular.
