ICBC has agreed to work with the B.C. automotive industry and its association to accommodate future changes. Those who have either worked at or negotiated with an insurance company know that the timeline for change is one of the largest hurdles. The larger the company, the more bureaucracy stifles the process. Part of this is understandable as insurers have a responsibility to consider the impact that change has on coverage, which affects policy language, while the actuarial department determines what impact those changes will have on costs, and rates.
