In the wake of the latest climate events,there are renewed pressures on governments worldwide to cut carbon emissions by at least 7% in order to avoid irreversible damage to our biosphere.As usual,and with some justification,it is immediately available and commercially established technology that is chosen to drive the initiative.There are,of course,two routes to follow in the battle to reduce the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere:a technological and a political route.
