Today artificial intelligence(Al)is a buzzword but back in the 1950s it was unheard off,until two men pioneered the technology:cognitive scientist Marvin Minsky and computer scientist John McCarthy(who would later coin the phrase).The pair famously described Al as any task performed by a programme or machine that,if humans carried out the same activity,would require that humans to apply intelligence to complete the task.
