It's tough.You bring your child into the world,nurture them,put all your skill,knowledge and passion into bringing them up as fully-rounded entities able to take all that life throws at them.As some of you may have already guessed,I am not talking about human offspring but another creation-a manufacturing or business operation,a finance department,even a factory.You conceived it,you built it and you're proud of it.Like the human offspring,it's tough when you have to let go,but let go you must.We all,including our most treasured creations,have to move on,usually without help.The best parents and the best managers create something that does not need them in order to function.It's our job to know when that point is reached and very gracefully,albeit painfully,let go.
