The market for recycled materials

The lithium battery recycling industry is largely in a stage of getting prepared. While some companies are getting ready to commercialise the recycling of scrap from the manufacturing of lithium batteries, other companies are focused on used batteries. There is a range of companies at stages of R&D, building pilot lines, preparing systems for collection, safe transportation and storage, deactivation, shredding, and finding that all-important goal— a market for the recycled product.
