摘要

This paper focuses on the service behaviour of composite and post-tensioned composite floor slabs. In particular, it deals with shrinkage effects by considering two approaches that can represent the non-uniform shrinkage profile that occurs through the thickness of a composite slab due to the inability of the concrete to dry from its underside because of the presence of the profiled steel sheeting. One approach is based on a simplified procedure and the other relies on a hygro-thermo-chemkal-mechanical model. Deflection predictions are calculated based on the two non-uniform shrinkage methods with a design model available in the literature. The adequacy of the two approaches is evaluated against long-term deflections measured experimentally from long-term tests carried out on selected post-tensioned composite slab samples reported in the literature.
