摘要

The bending behaviour of prefabricated concrete sandwich panels made with FRP diagonal bar shear connectors is investigated in this paper. The study aims to investigate the degree of composite action in these panels and to clarify their modes of failure and load carrying capacity using two different construction techniques. The experimental program includes testing two concrete sandwich panels and one solid panel under 4-point bending. All panels have the same overall dimensions and reinforcement ratio. One of the sandwich panels uses GFRP diagonal-bars that are anchored to the steel reinforcement in both wythes whereas no anchorage is provided in the second panel, which is a common practice in many applications.
