One can't watch the YouTube video from Boston Dynamics of the human-like robot, Atlas, parkouring through obstacles (youtu.be/LikxFZZ02sk) and not have a twinge of concern at our future coexistence with robots. Robots, AI,and machine learning (ML) raise concerns about our vocational viability as well as long-term impacts on our profession. AI,in its simplest terms, is intelligence exhibited by machines, while ML is a subcategory of AI in which machines perform intelligent tasks without explicit programming.
