Konux improves switch monitoring

Konux has released its predictive maintenance system for switches, which is designed to help infrastructure managers increase network capacity, prolong asset lifetime and make maintenance more efficient. Switches are one of the most critical elements of the rail infrastructure, causing approximately 30% of infrastructure-related delays. The system developed by Konux is an end-to-end solution that integrates Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide predictive maintenance. The system continuously and autonomously analyses the health of key switch components and provides actionable recommendations. Konux's machine learning algorithms generate insights that were previously unattainable, with the AI core forecasting how the condition of switch components will develop over a 90-day period and notifying staff when action needs to be taken.
