摘要

All facets of the packaging process - engineering, fabrication, testing - essential to ensuring the equipment operates as desired and intended. Process gas compressors are one of the most capital-intensive and complex equipment in gas processing plants. Their criticality to process warrants significant efforts in the specification and selection during front end design stage of the project to ensure that these machines will achieve the stated performance requirements, will be safe to operate and maintain and reliable throughout their design life. The engineering contractor and the end user expect the compressor vendor and their sub-vendors to choose the most suitable processes, technologies, and methods in the design, manufacture and testing of all components of the compressor package. Design reviews or audits and regular in-manufacture inspection can help to discover some deep-seated design deficiencies but only to an extent. The ultimate responsibility to make the product as desired rests with everyone involved in the project.
