Radio frequency and haemorrhoids

Internal haemorrhoidal disease, manifested by a prolapse and bleeding, is a candidate for a variety of treatments, both instrumental and surgical. As with many functional pathologies, the trend is moving towards treatments which are less and less invasive, enabling patients to return to their normal activities rapidly. Radio frequency, which comprises thermocoagulation of internal haemorrhoidal bundles by means of a metallic probe, suitable for an outpatient visit, seems to be an efficient method, with modest and acceptable consequences.
