摘要

A molecular technique (RAPD markers/CTAB method) for confirmation of varietal authenticity is described, in the case of micropropagation of date palm through somatic embryogenesis. A total of 48 fragments were generated using 5 primers but only 14 were used as polymorphic markers. The results obtained were very promising.
