BOMBER TRIAD FLEXES ITS MUSCLES

US Air Force strategic bombers demonstrate a new approach to global operations. THE US AIR Force gave a very visible shows of strength by its three strategic bomber fleets during May with a sequence of long-range Global Power missions and agile deployments. B-1B Lancers returned to the Indo-Pacific region on May 1 to conduct Bomber Task Force operations out of Andersen AFB, Guam. Four B-1s and approximately 200 airmen from the 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron (EBS), 7th Bomb Wing (BW), at Dyess AFB, Texas, flew to Andersen, with one of the aircraft splitting off to fly down the east of Japan to conduct training with US Navy assets before heading to Andersen.
