PPG Industries has been granted a patent for a method for making an aqueous dispersion of polymer-enclosed particles comprised of subjecting an aqueous medium to pulverizing conditions, wherein the aqueous medium is comprised of a mixture comprised of particles, an eth-ylenically unsaturated monomer and a water-dispersible ethylenically unsaturated polymer, and wherein the polymer-enclosed particles are formed by polymerizing at least a portion of the ethylenically unsaturated monomer with the water-dispersible ethylenically unsaturated polymer during the pulverizing conditions.
