摘要

Miniaturization of chemical reactors offers new possibilities in operation modes and optimization of chemical processes.Improved temperature management,shorter diffusion paths and/or higher areas for mass transport per reactor volume,and enhanced mixing of reactants over the whole reaction volume are considered as reasons for the often observed higher conversions and selectivities in microstruc-tured reactors in comparison to conventional ones.Advantages against conventional reactors can be expected especially for fast,highly exothermic or endothermic reactions and for carrying out reactions in the explosion regime.
