Response to 'The Failing Right Heart:The Neglected Ventricle?'

In their letter, "The Failing Right Heart: The Neglected Ventricle?" Ziesenitz et at. are correct in their observation that the editorial2 of the October 2013 issue of CPT focused on the treatment of left-ventricular (LV) failure and did not address the challenge of right-ventricular (RV) failure. They also imply in their letter that this omission is consistent with the fact that the failing right ventricle is fondly called the "forgotten ventricle." Interestingly, they identified the major challenge in reviewing drug treatment of RV failure: the paucity of data from well-controlled outcomes trials.
