Vale joins major mining companies in releasing tailings storage data

Vale has released a detailed report on all of its tailing storage facilities on June 10, joining a number of fellow major mining corporations in doing so. In response to a demand from institutional investors in April, a growing number of companies including Glencore, Vale, BHP, Anglo Amer-ican, Newmont Goldcorp, Barrick and Teck have released their information online, either in the form of open doc?uments or on searchable databases.
