EAST SIBERIAN MINING COMPANY TO CUT COAL MINING IN MAY

Buryatia-based East Siberian Mining Company is going to nearly halve coal extraction month-on-month to 20,000 t in May, Metal Expert learns. The reduction is mostly related to lower demand from the major consumers. In January-April, the output totalled some 175,000 t against 173,000 t in the corresponding period last year. This year, the company intends to produce 480,000 t, by 13% up year-on-year.
