Chemical Constituents of Soy Germ

Two new compounds, n-13,16-nonadecadienoic acid (1) and n-4,11-nonadecadienoic acid (2), and six other compounds, 7-nonadecenoic acid (3), 12-nonadecenoic acid (4), 14-methylstigmasta-7,24(28)-dien-3-ol (5), 21 alpha-hydroxyserrat-14-en-3 beta-ol (6), longifloroside (7), and 1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-2-[4-(3-hydroxypropyl)-2-methoxyphenoxy]-propane-1,3-diol (8), were isolated from soy germ. The structures were established using data from IR and NMR spectra.
