Switzerland amends chemical risk reduction ordinance to add 23 SVHCs

Switzerland has amended its Chemical Risk Reduction Ordinance (ORRChem), making a series of changes which include adding 23 new chemicals to its list of substances of very high concern (SVHCs). The country has issued two amending decrees. One concerns Annexes 1.17, 2.16 and 2.18, which were amended by the Ordinance of the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) on 29 September, with entry into force on 1 November. The SVHC list in Annex 1.17 of substances subject to authorisation has 23 additional entries.
