Echa has asked the European Commission for changes in the legal text of REACH to secure a basis for revoking non-compliant registration dossiers, and to lay down the full range of its tasks to help stabilise resources, executive director Bjorn Hansen has said. The agency wants the changes made as part of a possible reopening of REACH, which the Commission is considering for the coming years in order to implement actions proposed in the EU’s new chemicals strategy for sustainability.
