Cancer vaccines constitute a unique therapeutic modality as they initiate a dynamic process of activation of the host immune system, which can be exploited in concurrent or subsequent therapies [1], This review will focus on the current state of the use of vaccines with conventional therapies such as local tumour radiation or chemotherapy.
