Portugal: Corbario - an Experienced Raw Material Supplier Enlarges its Export Activities

Since over 80 years, Corbario offers a wide range of high quality specialty ball clays and kaolins for the preparation of white bodies for the tableware, tiles and sanitaryware industry and also for the production of roofing tiles and insulators. The annual production is nearly 300 000 t of refined clays mined in six deposits in the regions of Leiria and Aveiro, which where up to now sold mainly in the domestic market (approx 75%).
