SUSTAINABILITY AND FIRE SAFETY: QUO VADIM US?

I have always been an enthusiast about sustainability since the Earth Summit (EC092). After my naivety period and I will not get into the political agenda (i.e. global warming, climate scepticism, globalism etc.), I am still an enthusiast about sustainability. I have been trying to integrate my main area of specialism (fire safety engineering) with all the core-design criteria (e.g. safety, comfort, functionality, maintainability, building aesthetics etc.), including the sustainability performance criteria, whenever I can in the projects in which I have been involved. In addition to these projects, I have been discussing the importance of this harmonic integration in lectures and talks I have given more recently.
