India’s Matix Fertiliser starting up 1.3m- tonne/year urea plant

LONDON (ICIS)--India's Matix Fertilisers’ $1.1-bn fertilizer plant is in the process of being commissioned and expected to begin production in a couple of weeks, a company official confirmed to ICIS on Monday. The plant, which is in Panagarh in the state of West Bengal, has a capacity to produce 1.3m tonnes/year of urea and 730,000 tonnes/year of ammonia under the first phase of the project.
