MUMBAI (ICIS)--India’s polymer trade is hampered by curtailed cash availability following the recent implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) on 1 July, market sources said on Friday. Speaking to ICIS at the sidelines of the 6th Speciality films and Flexible Packaging Global Summit currently underway in Mumbai, market sources said that the overall polymer as well as chemicals demand and consumption had netted declines in July and August, post the implementation of the GST tax.
