LONDON (ICIS)--Europe naphtha prices and refinery margins have risen sharply on the back of increased gasoline demand after Hurricane Harvey forced US Gulf Coast refiners to cut output, industry sources said on Friday. The October naphtha refinery margins rose to $1.30/bbl on Thursday, up from $0.15/bbl the week before when it turned positive. This is unusual territory for northwest European naphtha refinery margins. Refiners rarely profit from selling naphtha.
