China DEG offers slump on increasingly bearish sentiment

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Offers for diethylene glycol (DEG) cargoes to China slumped on Friday as compared to a week ago, amid increasingly bearish market sentiment as downstream sectors began to slow down ahead of the year-end. Offers for January arrival cargoes stood at around $850-855/tonne CFR (cost and freight) CMP (China Main Ports), down from levels of $860-865/tonne CFR CMP and above late last week.
